Trip Ending Location

Middle Fork of the Salmon trips conclude at the Stagecoach Inn, 208.756.2919, www.stagecoachinnmotel.com arriving by about 3:30pm the afternoon of the final day of your trip.

Main Salmon trips conclude in McCall, ID arriving by about 2pm. We do not have a specific hotel to recommend as most folks choose to travel to Boise for a commercial flight connection or have had their personal vehicle shuttled to then start towards home. We are happy to help determine what logistics are best for you and can direct you to a few lodging options should you choose to stay in McCall.

Hotel Accommodations

Each guest is responsible for his or her own hotel accommodations the evening prior to the launch date of your trip and for the evening your trip ends. We DO NOT have blocks of rooms set aside at either hotel, so you will want to make your hotel reservations as soon as you confirm your booking. Feel free to use each hotel’s online reservation system to make the reservations.

Vehicle Shuttle

For Middle Fork of Salmon trips, your vehicle will need to be shuttled to the Stagecoach Inn located in Salmon, Idaho, while on the river. Please contact River Shuttles at www.rivershuttles.com or 208.756.4188 to make a reservation. The cost of this service is $130, not including fuel, plus $15 for a Mountain Village Lodge parking pass.

For Main Salmon trips, your vehicle will need to be shuttled from the Stagecoach Inn in Salmon, ID to McCall, ID while we are on the river. Please contact River Shuttles at www.rivershuttles.com or 208.756.4188 to make a reservation. The cost for this service is $375, not including cash for fuel.

Fly to Idaho & Using Air Taxi Service

The quickest option for instate travel would be to utilize an air taxi service. The cost of round trip air travel from Boise to Stanley, Idaho then from Salmon back to Boise for our MIDDLE FORK trips, and from Boise to Salmon, then from McCall back to Boise for our MAIN SALMON trips is $415 per person and will save about 8 total hours of travel time. We recommend our good friends at Gem Air for this service: www.gemairflights.com or 208.756.7382.

Trip Insurance

It is strongly suggested that you purchase a travel insurance policy to protect your investment. Idaho River Adventures is not able to provide refunds in the event you need to cancel your trip. You are free to use a travel insurance provider of your choice, but if you do not already have a relationship with one we suggest looking into Travel Insured International, www.travelinsured.com. The cost is usually in the $150-$200 range.
