Camping Salmon River Idaho

Camp Set Up

Complete camp set up by the guides. Idaho River Adventures uses a special boat called a “sweep boat” that travels ahead of the main group each day on Middle Fork trips, and a large cargo-hauling raft on Main Salmon trips. This boat transports the main camp downstream and sets up the entire camp while you enjoy your day. This includes setting up the tents, dining, and kitchen area and off-loading the duffel bags. No need for you to work during this vacation.

Choice of craft to ride in, including paddle boats where you are part of a team paddling the boat downriver with the guide in the back steering, oar boats in which the guide rows from the middle and inflatable kayaks. We encourage our guests to try each type of craft over the course of the trip but never require you to do something you are not comfortable with.
